#ZeroAccidents : THE MIDDLE PEDAL

                      The Middle Pedal

Undoubtedly the three pedals -- the clutch, the brake, and the accelerator -- are equally important, but the mid-pedal, i.e. the brake, is the most crucial device.

If the clutch fails, the vehicle will not start. If the accelerator fails, the vehicle will not move. If the brake fails, both the vehicle and the driver will be lost. This brake-pedal holds a major responsibility in road accidents.

Points to remember:
1. Opt for a hydraulic disc brake system with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
2. Do not take a sudden pull before overtaking.
3. Braking is better than overtaking.
4. Do not dodge or careen; you have got to stop, anyway.
5. Mind the shortcoming of a dog or cow running onto you.
